Terms of Service

Plain terms for a plain service. Please read them before you join.

1. Who we are

These terms are between you and xlnc ("we", "us"), which operates the website at xlnc.vip. By joining a membership, requesting an invitation or using the site, you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

2. What the service is

xlnc.vip is a consulting membership. Depending on the tier, it includes private intelligence on jurisdictions, zones and residency; education; a members' circle; VIP services and experiences; access to our relationship managers and, at the top tier, to Sim personally; coordination of licensed legal, accounting, banking and immigration partners in each jurisdiction; and priority in application queues when the programmes we are connected to open to the public.

The corridors we cover are Indonesia, Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain and Hong Kong.

3. What it is not

xlnc.vip coordinates. Licensed lawyers, accountants, tax advisers, bankers and immigration agents in each jurisdiction advise and sign. We are not a law firm, not a licensed tax adviser, not licensed to advise on securities or manage assets in Hong Kong or anywhere else, and not an immigration agent. We do not hold client money. No tier includes legal, tax or investment advice; those are engaged from licensed partners, and our fees for coordinating such engagements are quoted separately.

Nothing on the site or in any member material is an offer, a solicitation or a recommendation to buy or sell anything. Please take your own professional advice before acting on anything you read from us.

4. Membership tiers

There are three tiers: Member, Concierge and Platinum. What each includes is set out on the site at xlnc.vip, and the description on the site at the time you join forms part of these terms. Platinum is by application and we may decline an application. Memberships are shown as Coming Soon until a tier opens; we take no payment for a tier before it opens.

5. Price and billing

Prices are in US dollars and are shown beside every membership on the site. You can be billed monthly or, where offered, yearly, by card through Stripe. Your card statement will read XLNC.VIP. We may change prices for future periods by giving you notice before your next billing date; the price you have paid for the current period does not change.

6. Renewal and cancellation

Memberships renew automatically at the end of each paid period until you cancel. You can cancel at any time in the billing portal or by writing to [email protected]. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the paid period, and you keep your membership until then. The Refund and Cancellation Policy has the detail.

7. Credits

Every dollar of membership is credited against the professional fees of any structuring, relocation or zone-entry engagement you later commission through us. Credits never expire.

Credits apply only to our own professional fees. They have no cash value, cannot be transferred to another person, and are not tied to the outcome of any engagement, programme or project. They do not reduce fees charged by licensed partners or any third party.

8. Priority access

This is priority in application queues for business tenancy, residency and participation programmes as they open, subject to each programme's own eligibility and regulation. It is not an allocation of land, equity or currency, not a return, and not a guarantee that any programme opens on any date.

9. Programmes, zones and partners

The programmes, zones, licensed partners and service providers we introduce you to are independent of us. They set their own terms, eligibility rules and fees, and they make their own decisions. We are not responsible for those decisions or for the acts of any third party. Descriptions of any programme on the site are proposals or summaries, not promises, and we make no commitment that any programme will open, or open on any date.

Participation in a programme is through our services: a briefing, an introduction, a visit or a place in a queue. It is not an offer of land, equity, currency or any financial interest.

10. Experiences

Private gatherings and accompanied visits are real services. Travel and accommodation are at the member's cost unless we say otherwise in writing. An experience is never access to any named person, office or family.

11. Confidentiality

We keep what you tell us private and do not publish who our members are. We share your information with licensed partners only as needed for what you ask us to do, and as described in our Privacy Policy. Please keep member material, including the Brief and the Corridor Library, to yourself and your immediate family and advisers.

12. Acceptable use

Please do not use the service to break the law in any jurisdiction, to mislead us or any partner about who you are or where your funds come from, to copy or resell member material, or to interfere with the site. We may suspend or end a membership that breaches these terms, or where a licensed partner or a legal obligation requires us to, and we will refund the unused part of any period we end for reasons that are not your breach.

13. Limitation of liability

We provide the service with reasonable care and skill. We do not promise any particular outcome from any residency, structuring or relocation step. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for loss arising from decisions of third parties, regulators or programmes. Our total liability to you for any claim relating to the service is limited to the membership fees you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited, including for fraud or for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or removes rights you have under the mandatory law where you live.

14. Changes

We may update these terms. The date at the top shows when they last changed. If a change is material we will tell members by email before it applies.

15. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, and you and we submit to the jurisdiction of its courts. Where you live in a place whose mandatory consumer law gives you the right to go to your local courts, that right is not affected.
